From Nancyii
Poem
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there,
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am a diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight of a ripened grain,
I am the gentle Autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft star shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die
"Afterglow"
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways of happy times
and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun, of happy memories that I leave behind when day is done.
